Logo Design - Diddy Kong Racing Sequel What-if

Description

Originally made to be this year's April Fools fake logo, but I wasn't sure how to present it in a more convincing way than last year's attempt, so instead I'll just get right to explaining the concept briefly:

Diddy Kong Racing Cross Country for the Nintendo Switch is the long over-due sequel to Diddy Kong Racing on the Nintendo 64.

As Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong and Tiny Kong entertain themselves with some local multiplayer gaming nostalgia in Donkey Kong's hut, with their orangutang cousin Lanky Kong, they are interrupted with a message from Taj the elephant genie. He explains that after what feels like a decade or two, the evil Wizpig has finally returned with a new plan, and even newer mysterious magic. However, his sights are not on Timber's Island anymore, but an entire archipelago instead! Summoning dimension-warping portals that drag elements from other universes onto the abandoned islands to create the ultimate racing kingdom.

Giving them the heads up that he and T.T. the Stopwatch will meet them there, Diddy & the rest of the Kongs immediately suit up for the occasion and ride to the undiscovered archipelago, where little did they know, new and old friends will soon be waiting for them.

Much like Mario Kart Double Dash!! for the Gamecube, characters are teamed up in pairs on a single vehicle. They can swap places on the fly in order to use items strategically, while riding in either cars, planes, or hovercrafts depending on the track. Players can grab the same item more than once to power them up like in the previous title, but not only can they now carry two at once, but players will be able to fuse together said items to create even stronger ones during races. While most of the racers from the previous title will not return for Diddy Kong Racing Cross Country, new inclusions consist of heroes from Nintendo e-shop and indie developed games, as well as characters from the Donkey Kong universe.

One might say this could be like Smash Bros. Racing but with Indie characters ;P. I do hope to make a series of character artwork for this idea at some point in the future, as I would rather show further details with visuals rather than tell through text, but I guess I'll just add that to my ever growing list of fan-art I want to draw. Until then let me know what you all think - is this the kind of idea you would like to see for a sequel to Diddy kong Racing? What do you think of the logo? let me know in the comments and share some ideas!

yes, a fan sequel! Kazooie finally playable, same with Roo and Wizpig, maybe even Berri from Conker Twelve Tales!
