'The Street-smart Birdo'

Field ability: lets Mario ride her to cover more ground. She can also eat large fruit that act as roadblocks to open new areas or inhale flaps to uncover hidden items.

“A Birdo, whose egg originated from Isle Delfeno, is introduced to Mario by the Yoshi that he met in the Glitz Pit. Now grown, the Yoshi and the Birdo have come to an island attraction on a date. However, it was Mario’s next destination and has to become champion of the Island’s fighting tournament. Always trying to show the Yoshi her power, she takes the opportunity to prove herself to him by helping Mario in a sub-boss fight. The Birdo is met in Chapter 5 and is the partner that Mario rides to cover more ground. Much like the Yoshi from PM2, this Birdo can be named by the player and can come in a variety of colours: pink, green, yellow, violet, cyan, blue, red and even black and white."

Attacks:
Egg Cannon – Damages one enemy by spiting an egg at it. Attack misses if action command fails.

Inhale 4FP – Inhales one ground opponent, then spits it out to cause damage and remove their defense power completely for a limited time.

Juice Stream 4FP – Spews out a bunch of fruit juice at all enemies to lower their defense by 2 for a limited time. Has a 6/10 chance of success but increases to 8/10 at ultra rank.

Fruit Fire 7FP – Swallows numerous amounts of fruit then exhales them all back out, attacking all enemies with a torrent of colourful madness.
